I ordered this for my husband for Christmas last year and have EXACTLY the same problems and the reviewer previously. The shade will NOT stay on and it's not really as tall as it needs to be. It is indeed cute, but I wish I had sent it back. It also gets very hot even with the bulb recommended. I just wish I had not wasted my $$$$ on it...very poorly made and very disappointing. Save your money on this one....

sent it back....red didn't cover the whole lamp, base was dented and pitted. company doesn't offer easy return with shipment. Have to wait 2 weeks for a label. Sending it back with the tray which was cracked in half.

I bought this for my husband to use on his desk. While the light is bright enough, the shade will not stay in place. It falls off (rests on the light bulb) at the slightest touch. The other problem I have with it is that it really isn't very tall. Since my husband is an avid Giants fan, I hated to send it back, so we just tolerate it and avoid touching the shade once in place. Wouldn't recommend.
